The votes have been counted, and I want to congratulate Letitia Plummer on becoming the Democratic nominee for Harris County Judge.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart to everyone who volunteered, donated, and voted for me, my campaign team, and, of course, my amazing family.
This campaign is over and our job now is to defeat the Republicans in November.
Meet Annise Parker
Democrat Annise Parker is a former Mayor of Houston who has fought her entire life for working people, good jobs, equal rights, and responsible government.
As Houston’s mayor, Annise kept the city’s economy growing through the toughest recession in a generation. She balanced multi-billion-dollar budgets without raising taxes or laying off police and firefighters. She created the Hire Houston First program because she knows everyone who wants to work deserves the chance to earn a good-paying job.
Annise helped create the city’s first dedicated fund to pay for flood prevention and road repairs. She created the city’s first Sobering Center to keep people who just need treatment out of the criminal justice system.
These were all tough fights. But no matter the fight, Annise fights for us.

After serving as Mayor, Annise led the nation’s only organization dedicated to electing pro-equality, pro-choice LGBTQ+ leaders.
Today, Annise is ready to use her experience to fight for Harris County families.
As our next County Judge, Annise will go to the mat to fight Trump budget cuts that will hurt our seniors, families, and kids. She will make sure Harris County is ready to respond to hurricanes and extreme weather events. She will fight to cut government waste, so we have more money for priorities like healthcare and flood prevention.
